ORDERING POLICIES AND INFORMATION

  • Orders over $100 require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit.
  • Orders $100 and under must be paid in FULL and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Due to the nature of our products, WE DO NOT accept returns or process refunds.
  • CANCELLATIONS must be made no later than 48 hours after placing your order. If cancelled after 48 hours of placing your order a credit for balance paid may be used towards another order within 6 months.
  • Changes to orders must be made 1 week in advance. Extra charges may apply.
  • If for some unforeseen circumstance (i.e. natural emergency, power outage, etc) out of Whimsical Cake Studio Inc.’s control, we will reimburse the 50% deposit only.
  • Whimsical Cake Studio Inc. designers reserve the right to make any last minute adjustments to cake as needed.
  • Specialty cakes and non-wedding cakes may be placed over the telephone or by visiting our studio. Appointments are taken for wedding cakes only.
  • Kindly have the following details ready when calling or visiting to discuss an order:
    -date of your event
    -type of occasion
    -number of servings being requested
    -idea or cake design in mind
    -cake flavour choice(s)
  • Orders are ONLY CONFIRMED with a paid deposit and signed cake order form agreement.
  • SUBMITTING IMAGES

  • In respect of other designers work, we will not accept photos of cakes or cupcakes created by another designer, nor will we replicate another designer’s cake.
  • We also do not replicate our own cakes over and over again. We would love to create a unique cake just for your special occasion.
  • If you are submitting a photo of an item (i.e. car, building, cartoon) that you would like created in cake, please bring us photos with various views (sides, top, front, back). We certainly try our best to interpret something from an image into cake…but please understand we are using mediums such as fondant, buttercream, chocolate, etc. and though we use them to their limits, they are not always able to create certain pieces with 100% accuracy.
  • Photos can be dropped off at our studio or mailed to us. We do not refer to emails for photos.
  • PICKING UP YOUR CAKE AND CUPCAKES

  • Before you leave with your order, please make sure that we have spelled names correctly and have included the details you have requested. Sometimes we do miss a tiny little thing and would be glad to fix it for you on the spot. We make sure our cakes are sent off securely and in proper condition.
  • We will not be liable for any damages done to your cake once you have left with it. However, feel free to call us to see if there is anything we can do to help as we may be able to offer some assistance.
  • All cakes and cupcakes should be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle. Once at your destination, refrigerate your cake or cupcakes if not being served right away. If you are serving it the same day, most cakes can be left at room temperature. We will instruct you otherwise before you leave the studio. On hot days cakes and cupcakes should be kept cool as our buttercream will melt!
  • If you have sent someone else to pickup your order, they are responsible for making sure that the order is to your satisfaction before leaving the studio.
  • A waiver is signed before leaving with your cake order that reads “_______ agrees that cake has the details requested. Whimsical Cake Studio Inc. is not liable for any damages to the cake/cupcakes after pick up. Any changes requested after pick up may be done for an extra charge.“ Above all, RELAX…enjoy your event…eat cake!
  • COLORS, FONDANT, ETC.

  • We cannot guarantee a 100% color match, but will try our best to match if a color swatch is provided. If you do not provide a sample color, we will tint the buttercream or fondant to the best of our judgement.
  • We use a high quality vanilla and chocolate fondant for our cakes. If you have tried "bad tasting" fondant in the past, you will find a big difference in the fondant we use. The majority of our cakes are covered in a layer of fondant, with a layer of buttercream underneath. We prefer to decorate our cakes with fondant because of the satin finish it gives and the support it provides our sculpted cakes. It is very forgiving and though we try to make it flawless, you may sometimes notice some small airbubbles or tears...but nothing to fret about. Fondant will also help to keep your cake moist.
  • We also decorate using chocolate or coloured melting chocolate for decorations which are not nut free.
  • INGREDIENTS

    We use fresh ingredients and we bake from scratch. Ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, fruits and nuts. Preservatives are not used in our products. We bake butter cakes...a lot like pound cakes and nothing at all like grocery store cake mixes.
  • At this time we do not offer gluten free, dairy free or sugar free products and are not a certified Kosher establishment. Also note that some of our products may contain nuts. Those with nut allergies should not consume our products.
  • As preservatives are not used in our products, please keep in mind that cupcakes and cakes are best served the day or the day after you pick up your order and will keep fresh for about 2 to 3 days afterwards if stored properly.
  • OTHER INFORMATION

    We cannot guarantee a 100% color match, but will try our best if a color swatch is provided.
  • If you provide us with a photo of something you want us to replicate, we certainly try our best to include as much detail as possible.
  • If for some unforeseen circumstance (i.e. natural emergency, power outage, etc) out of Whimsical Cake Studio Inc.’s control, we will reimburse the 50% deposit only.
  • Currently, we only offer deliveries and set-ups for weddings within City Limits. Please inquire further for corporate or out of town orders.
  • Payment can be made by cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard.
